The cool thing about zombie movies is that no matter what place it happens, it is creepy. No matter what place they actually pick to produce the movie we get the complete sense of reality. In 28 Days Later the horror story takes place in London, UK great place to make a horror movie not because it is the best place that this virus should actually happen but because it is truly beautiful in every way. The great buildings and historical meaning helps the reader get the full effect of London.
London being a really big city in population and size lets us understand how big the situation is when it comes to the virus. The virus spreading quickly and affecting a huge city like London is suprisinly scary which is something that is intended. We not see the setting used as a help aid to portray the reality but also many other factors like the type of characters and their situations and how they show the growth as idividiuals. The point of all is to make us feel like they are just like us, normal individuals who dont know how to survive from a virus, who are alone and wouldnt know what to do. We have to identify with that make it seem hat we are living in that world of danger that maybe in the true reality the virus might signify something else.
Of all cities London makes the perfect type of city to have or to tell a horror story, let us say that this happened we are in big trouble.

The other zombies..
28 Days Later is one of the best zombie movies out there. The way the story is being told shows us a great horror story in which we can truy understand what the caharcters are going through. We can also also obviously say that 28 Days Later is not the only zombie movie out there. 28 Days Later came out in 2003 making it pretty a modern interpretation and more realistic to the audience. Now before and after 28 Days Later there have been many other stories and show different ways the zombies can be.
Books and many other books; tons of books. The zombie story has been told over and over and over again, and with different causes the main one being a virus being spread on the human society.
In particular zombie movie is identified by the way the portray the zombies. For example 28 Days Later zombies are characterized by how fast they run and their red eyes. In other movies like Resident Evil we see the virus mutating humans into zombies and even monsters. Another example is on the movie Shaun of the Dead we see zombies that are slow and can be handled easily and so on. As mentioned above there are both old and new zombie movies and well 28 Days Later is a modern interpretation of the story itself.
As our society modernizes I'm sure we will see even more modern interpretations and the scary thing is that zombies are getting stronger and faster. Zombies from Shaun of the Dead are nothing compared to zombies from 28 Days Later and Resident Evil. Also if we even mention the "orginal" zombies, the ones that come out of graves from where the living dead came from we see a great change even in the story.
Zombies used to come from the grave and they were already dead; rising and eating people's brains, it had to be brains. Now today's zombies are more modernized and they come from actual people like a virus taking over and turning them into creatures who crave for blood, human blood.

Mastermind
Danny Boyle. Great mastermind behind great works like Slumdog Millionaire, 127 Hours, and even of course the impressive the main topic 28 Days Later. From all these great movies we can tell Danny Boyle is a fantastic director who has the talent to make great stories come to life in a way that is overall complete leaving his audience with a satisfied feeling in the end.
Great English filmaker with a impressive reputation of great portrayed movies. He has the ability to reflect to his audience the right feelings in each story like horror, hope, love, etc. As any other filmaker he also has interest in theater and tv shows who many have been very sucessful.
I personally admire the way he develops effectively the story being told and how us as his audience understand from beginning to end in a way that we actually are living the story. Also the way he demonstrates the characters development and how they grow as individuals becoming stronger and stronger is quite inspirational. Specially when it comes to a zombie movie in which is very important to show how characters cope with their surroundings.
He is definetly worth being followed in the sense of following his work. Is very exciting to wait and expect other great works from this great director and who knows maybe he will do another zombie movie. And if he does I think that would be truly fantastic! Or more like SUPER AWESOME!

The Pray
In zombie movies you always see different types of characters. Most of them undergo a type of change or grow as individuals in order to survive. In all zombie movies there is always the action character, the one that protects and can defend himself or herself. In 28 Days Later we have Jim which we can infer is the protagonist; he wakes from a coma 28 Days Later of his accident and finds himself in a deserted city filled with blood thirsty predators.
He is forced to learn and kill for his survival. Now just than any other movie, the character before the virus epidemic happens has never killed or thought of killing anyone. This type of chnage can be seen by just noticing how hard is it for them to actually kill a zombie. He learns throughtout the movie to become stronger just as other well know zombie slayers including the bad ass Alice in Resident Evil.
There are other characters thats also undergo these types of changes including Selena who is just trying to survive like any other character. Also there is a father Frank and Hannah his daughter. All of them try to survive together but we know that just like any other secondary character in zombie mevie they will die. Just being honest!
You will indentify with at least one character but lets just hope that at the end he or she survives!

ZOMBIES!!!
Is interesting to see how an accidental release of a virus can collapse a whole society. 28 Days Later is one of my top favorite movies, I have a couple of reasons why I chose this movie as my topic and I'm sure everyone would agree with me. First of all zombies are just plain awesome I love everything that has to do with them, not to the crazy extent of wishing something like that would happen in reality. I'm sure nobody would enjoy being eaten alive or even hurting someone you love or care about in order to survive. Also you would really need to have the ability to run like crazy specially when it comes to 28 Days Later zombies and I'm sure not a lot of people would enjoy that.
You see how the simplest thing like a virus can completely change someone's future, can cause the biggest effects for a whole world, and even make us realize that you cannot go back to what your life was before.
I think is a great way to really show what you are made of or what you are capable of. You have to learn or better yet are forced to learn new surviving skills. You have to choose the safest place to spend a night because you cannot stay in the same place permanetly, you have to shoot at zombies heads without any knowledge of shooting at someone, and even be careful in every move you make because it WILL be a matter of life and death. There will be other things.. many others but you will learn more throughout your zombie experience. Anyways be safe, and remember if you encounter a zombie. RUN!
