28 Days Later is one of the best zombie movies out there. The way the story is being told shows us a great horror story in which we can truy understand what the caharcters are going through. We can also also obviously say that 28 Days Later is not the only zombie movie out there. 28 Days Later came out in 2003 making it pretty a modern interpretation and more realistic to the audience. Now before and after 28 Days Later there have been many other stories and show different ways the zombies can be.
Books and many other books; tons of books. The zombie story has been told over and over and over again, and with different causes the main one being a virus being spread on the human society.
In particular zombie movie is identified by the way the portray the zombies. For example 28 Days Later zombies are characterized by how fast they run and their red eyes. In other movies like Resident Evil we see the virus mutating humans into zombies and even monsters. Another example is on the movie Shaun of the Dead we see zombies that are slow and can be handled easily and so on. As mentioned above there are both old and new zombie movies and well 28 Days Later is a modern interpretation of the story itself.
As our society modernizes I'm sure we will see even more modern interpretations and the scary thing is that zombies are getting stronger and faster. Zombies from Shaun of the Dead are nothing compared to zombies from 28 Days Later and Resident Evil. Also if we even mention the "orginal" zombies, the ones that come out of graves from where the living dead came from we see a great change even in the story.
Zombies used to come from the grave and they were already dead; rising and eating people's brains, it had to be brains. Now today's zombies are more modernized and they come from actual people like a virus taking over and turning them into creatures who crave for blood, human blood.
